I sure hope it's not inappropriate. I will be changing jobs soon(not of my own choice) and I hope that riding the loud-ass Savage is accepted by what ever new company I work for.
I don't think that it would be unacceptable to ride a bike to a meeting as long as a person doesn't come in looking like a beast. Don't know what your "friend" was thinking, if I had a friend that did that I would applaude them.
Just be true to yourself and don't always take others opinions to heart. And have fun!!!
